🌈 HAPPY MOoNDAY! 🌈 . ✌️🏻Here’s to another week of more juggling in this new crazy way of living 🤹‍♀️ . 💪🏻 This week i’ll be catching up on my Oh So Kiki admin (chasing payment 😡, invoicing, catching up on emails etc.), onboarding a new client 🥳, ”homeschooling” (in the loosest sense) dinosaur-themed crafting, trampoline Italian, ”re/air/are/” etc phonics 🤦🏼‍♀️ and much more... (mainly messy outdoor free play 😉🤫), gardening, dog walking 🐕, baking, running, pilates, cycling, laundry-on-mass (as always 🙄), catching up with pals/family, singing/dancing like fools, laughing/shouting in equal measures 🥴, chatting/singing to our neighbours 🐄 🐄 🐄, refereeing the boys, food shop and drop for nan, and hugging/squeezing my cherubs as much as poss ❤️🤭 . ✌️🏻Your lockdown, your rules ✌️🏻 . 🌱”I’m too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener.” Anonymous.
🦸‍♀️ SUPER POWERS 🦸‍♀️ . 🎨 Artwork by @modpodgerocks 🎨 . ✨We all have the SUPER POWER to make a difference. Staying home, staying safe, staying in touch, staying grounded, staying real - that’s some serious power right there! 👊🏻 . 💪🏻My top five super powers right now: . ✨ POSITIVITY - don't get me wrong, there are moments in every day that those scary, negative thoughts creep in... But I've got a lot to be grateful for, now more than ever, so keeping my mind focussed on gratitude keeps me on a positive path ✌️🏻Oh and keeping the wine shelf stocked will do wonders for morale 🤭 . 🤹‍♀️JUGGLING - working/running a biz (i’ve got the crack-of-dawn shift), then a full day of mum-fun/play with two boys with differing opinions/needs at times 🥴, homeschooling, chef-ing (the many, many meals, snacks, drinks...), cleaning (this has taken a backseat somewhat😜), laundry woman (we still seem to be getting through the same amount of washing 🤔), dog-walking, exercising etc. 🤪 You know the drill. . 🎨 CREATIVITY - coming up with new, fun ways to keep the kids busy/get around monotonous tasks such as breakfast in the bath or letting them loose on the grass with a pair of scissors (this will buy you at least half an hour so put the kettle on/crack open the vino) - excellent fine motor skill practice 😜 . ✌️🏻PATIENCE - we all need this more than ever right now 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm itching to see people, hug people, swaddle that cocochino and cake @thelarder23 Aviary Cafe at Jephson Gardens 🤤 I'm trying to be a patient mum - my neighbours might disagree with this (the whole of our hamlet hears my daily refereeing 🥴).But on the whole, I'm not fairing too badly, ish.🤔 . 🥳PLAYFULNESS - working hard and playing hard 💪🏻 Our day, our life in fact, is all about playfulness right now! Learning through play, coping through play and transporting us through play! 🎈 . 🦶”You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. ✌️🏻PEACE ✌️🏻 . 🎢 3 weeks and 1 day completed at home with my boys - a rollercoaster of gratitude for this time with them and all that we have, fear for what lies ahead, sorrow for what is happening and those that are suffering, overwhelm - the big stuff (🌎 ) and the little stuff (like getting my five-year-old to practice his handwriting 🥴), joy for the fun we are having each day in our home, pining for my friends who all need a hug ❤️, desperate to get my hands on my incredible family, loving my new nightly vino, grateful for a happy home, stressed when brothers try to eat each other 😬, anxious for those on the frontline, total disbelief that we all are where we are... 🎢 . 🎂 We’ve celebrated a 5th birthday for biggest boy who had to come to terms with his party being cancelled 😭 All the presents made up for it - ish 🤷🏼‍♀️ . 🥳My 35th birthday came and went - boy did I miss the usual celebrations with all my amazing friends and family 😕 BUT this house is going OFF when we’re out of this shizz storm and we’ll be hosting the mother of all parrrrtaaaayyys 🥳🎤💃🥂 . 👏🏻In awe of all the key workers out there, especially the incredible NHS - so so proud of @carlzw28 @siobhant101 @harriemcg and sending them all so much strength, love and peace👏🏻 . 🥂Raising a glass to everyone who’s getting through this zombie 🧟 Apocalypse safely, responsibly and peacefully ✌️🏻 . ⚡️”Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” Albus Dumbledore. ⚡️

🌊 R&R ☀️ . 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 We’ve escaped for a much-needed family weekend away to the seaside 😎 I’ve been in need of some serious space, relaxation and clarity. There’s nothing like some sea air to blow away the cobwebs, clear the mind and gain some perspective. ✌🏻 . 🪁 2020 is off to a flying start with the first quarter near completion! After a slow end to 2019 🐌, 2020 has been chockablock on the work front. I've worn many hats: 👩‍🎓 learning all there is to know about new clients (3 so far this year), 🕵️‍♀️ researching and investigating, 👷‍♀️building ideas and marketing plans, 👩‍⚕️ looking after clients and caring for their marketing, 👩‍🏫 presenting ideas/solutions and interviewing for video, 👩‍🔬 experimenting, 👩‍🌾 nurturing, 👩‍🚒 firefighting (not my fav part of the job!), 👩‍💻 copywriting (web pages, blogs, prospect letters, event invitations, social posts, schedules, scripts, emails, etc.), 🏃‍♀️ running a big event and attending a client one, dealing with an absolute 👹 (the rude, incompetent, egotistical kind), trying to 🤹‍♀️ five clients and parenthood whilst feeling like a complete sleep-deprived zombie🧟‍♀️, and feeling like my superwoman 🦸‍♀️ powers are depleted 🤷🏼‍♀️ . 🏔 I’ve climbed mountains (sadly not actual ones - exercise has gone out the window!), Choo chooed 🚂 my way back and forth from London Town, there’s been road blocks ⛔️, delays ⏰, celebrations 🥂, blisters 🩹, cleanups 🧹, fixups 🛠, hurricanes 🌪, money-chasing 💷(😡), fun times 🎈, new friendships 💛 and huge appreciation 🌷 . ❤️ But boy do I need some time with my boys to reconnect and remind myself what it’s all for! 💙 When you’re in the thick of it it’s hard to see the wood for the trees 🌲 and making time to have some ‘proper’ time is so needed 💞 . 🧠Learnings for next quarter: be stricter with my terms of business, respect is two ways, don’t get hung up on losers 🤷🏼‍♀️ . 🥅 Goals for next quarter: reduce workload (working until gone midnight is no good!), say “no”, focus energy on those who deserve it - family 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦, friends 👯‍♀️, lovely clients 🤝and, especially, me 💆🏼‍♀️🧖🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️
